Join Our Group
We are an enthusiastic and small group of volunteers. We welcome new members to our group.
Training is provided by Community Refugee Sponsorship Australia (CRSA). Police and Working With Children checks are required.
Contact us to attend an event or meeting and learn more about the group to see if it fits with your aims and expectations.

Share Your Skills
You do not have to be a full member of the group to help out, especially if you have skills that can support our refugees settle in Bass Coast. For example;
- helping with fundraising events (concerts, film nights, garage sales, trivia nights…)
- socialising with the families (playing sport, local walks, teaching kids to swim)
- working on the newsletter
- helping set up a new house
- repairs and maintenance
- transport
- searching for grant funding
If you would like to share your practical skills get in touch. We would love to hear from you.

Employment Support
Refugees want to work and contribute to Bass Coast. Can you help?
If you are an employer and have the ability to mentor a refugee to integrate into the working community please get in touch.
Refugees have many skills but often their qualifications are not recognised in Australia. This is no reflection on their capabilities and experiences. If you are willing to support someone whose English is improving (and may be only one of many languages spoken) please contact us to learn more about the individuals and meet with those who may fit your needs as well as their own.
Your support is appreciated.
